Russian festival of paints “Holi”: 11-13 June
Annual festival of paints is held on Palace Square. This year you can participate in festival which is held on the stadium “Kirovetz”. Natural powder-paint is not harmful. Perfect time and place to take great summer pictures.
Outdoor cinema on Palace Square: 16-19 June
Groundbreaking event! The architectural ensemble of the main square of the city will be the backdrop for the largest and most unusual cinema. The marathon of Russian and Soviet movies will be arranged during the White Nights. Movies will be divided into three thematic blocks – “St Petersburg history”, “Heroes and Characters”, “The Golden Age of Films for Children”. Music Festival “Stereoleto!”: 2-3 July
This is the first independent music festival in Saint Petersburg. A lot of music bands perform here every year. There will also be stereokids – festival for children, stereo market – festival of fashion clothes, stereo fun – events for all family in the program of festival. A lot of fun and positive experience!
Festival “Oh, yes! Food!”: 23-24 July
This festival is the place where you can taste dishes from all famous, modern and authentic places of Saint Petersburg. The fest is a perfect blend of cultural activities – food, music, sports, street art, culture, family vacation. The big summer festival in St. Petersburg will demonstrate the gastronomic panorama of the city – from healthy food to the extremely popular new street food. Festival “ Usadba Jazz”: 30 July
International Jazz Festival will be held in St. Petersburg for the fifth time. Every time a lot of people come to listen to the most progressive music in St Petersburg. This festival is not just a cultural event, it’s a music holiday for all who visit it. Moreover, every concert takes place in the park and you can just sit on the grass, have a picnic listening to live music, make new friends and enjoy summer evenings. Amazing!
The opening of New Holland: August 2016
The island of New Holland is one of the most historical monuments in Saint Petersburg. Founded by Peter the Great in 1719 – only 16 years after the construction of the city began – the island has witnessed every major milestone in the history of the city.
However, the historical value is not everything what this place is famous for. Nowadays, this is the new urban space with a lot of modern cafes, museums of contemporary art, commercial projects and even scientific laboratories. The place was under reconstruction for a long time and all guests and citizens of our city missed it very much. But it will open in August. Come and be a part of this grand event.
