Moreover, the Castle occupies the area of one of the highest hills of Lisbon and has plenty of observation decks with breathtaking views of the city and Tagus River.

Picch yourself. You’re seeing the icons of Lisbon. Live!

Miradouro das Portas do Sol

Lisbon is full of observation decks called “miradouros”. We are going to visit one of the most popular miradouros among photographers – Portas do Sol. You will be amazed by this lovely sunlit place. And the view you can see from here will leave you speechless: panorama of Tagus River with snow-white cruise ships go by, tiled roofs of old city and maze of streets of Alfama neighborhood. These scenes simply must be captured by your camera.

Here you will also have an opportunity to take photos of Lisbon legend – old yellow tram 28 which is incredibly popular tourist attraction and the symbol of the city. Don’t miss the chance to get pictures like in postcards and even better.

Lisbon Cathedral

We can’t skip the main Lisbon church during our photo tour. The first stone was laid here in 4th century AD to build a Roman temple. For all its history the Cathedral has been reconstructed uncountable times. That’s why nowadays it has unique architecture which combines numerous historical and national styles. Roman, gothic, renaissance, baroque, Moorish, rococo, neoclassicism… Where else can you see such an amazing mix?

Get your camera ready to capture the scenes of this fascinating architectural jewel.

Alfama

Lisbon inhabitants say that you can’t feel the spirit of the city if don’t visit Alfama. Following the advice of wise Portuguese we are going to explore distinctive and very atmospheric Alfama neighborhood. It’s one of the most ancient city areas which saved the charm of old city. Furthermore, Alfama is the place where you can get a unique experience of observing  everyday life of Lisbon residents. Paved narrow streets, tegular rooftops of old houses and a lot of buildings decorated with Azulejo – colorful traditional mosaics will make you desire to take pictures of every point of this wonderful place.

We guarantee that you will fall in love with charming Alfama.

Parque das Nacoes

As any capital Lisbon successfully combines old historical neighborhoods and modern districts. To feel the contrasts of Lisbon we are going to visit the contemporary district called Parque das Nacoes. This area was founded to host the World Expo 1998 and immediately became the center of trendy art and contemporary architecture. This distinguished district has many interesting things to show you – from great panoramic views of Tagus River to extraordinary futuristic buildings.

Discover modern Lisbon.

Gare do Oriente

One of the largest stations in Europe will impress you with its magnificent architecture. Use your imagination and you will see that the ground floor of the Station reminds the skeleton of a whale and the high level looks like huge forest made of glass and steel. That was the idea of Spanish architecture Santiago Calatrava which was successfully implemented to reality. Oriente station has won many awards due to its unique architecture. In 2014 it was declared the most stunning station in the world.

Look at this building too long and you will notice you’re being hypnotized.

Vasco da Gama Tower

Now you have a chance to see the tallest building in Lisbon. 145-m tall Tower was built on the 500th anniversary of Vasco da Gama’s voyage to India, in 1998. This elegant steel construction has a shape of giant nautical sail. It’s amazing how one building can represent contemporary architecture and keep the memory of historical events at the same time. No doubt you will get great pictures of this significant symbol of modern Lisbon.

P.S. The Tower has an observation deck with incredible views on its top.

Vasco da Gama Bridge

Do you know where the longest bridge in Europe is located? Of course, you know everything – in Lisbon. And now you are going to see it and to take fantastic pictures of this iconic bridge. 17,185 meters long, 150 meters high, 30 meters wide… Sounds impressive, doesn’t it? Built in 1998 across Tagus River, this iconic bridge was also named after famous Portuguese sailor and discoverer.

The majestic scene of the bridge will leave you speechless!
